8 Interesting/Random things about me …

I don’t know if I’m happy about this or not.  Jedijawa posted some ‘Tag!  You’re It!’ comment that I have to write 8 interesting/random things about me then, I guess, do the same to someone else.  I’ve never participated in this type of thing so I’m having to cheat by looking at how other people have done it.  I hope I get this right.

  1. This is the morning of Thanksgiving Day.  I’m in front of my desktop PC in my Peyton Manning jersey, knickers and … that’s about it.
  2. I just finished putting the turkey in the oven.  It ill be ready by about 3:00 if you want to stop by.
  3. I struggle with being fiercely independent.  I can and have changed my own oil, spark-plugs, made repairs to my home [yes, even toilets], held multiple jobs to pay bills instead of asking for help and stuff like that.  It’s really hard for me to accept help with a LOT of things.  But I’m working on it.
  4. When I’m working from my home I have fabulous photo of a lighthouse in Hawaii that I took to look at while I ponder.
  5. My parents, siblings and their children all live within 10 miles of me, so I don’t have to travel to visit during the holidays.
  6. I love to fish, hunt [deer/turkey] and camp.  Not rustic, tent-camping, in our 28ft camper.
  7. I’ve lost 40 pounds in two years.
  8. Tempora mutanturs nos et mutamur in illis.

So, I guess I am supposed to tag 8 other bloggers.  Here goes …

  1. Rebecca
  2. Mr. Chinchilla
  3. Spike
  4. Writer X
  5. Redzepplin

Crap, I don’t know 3 more who haven’t been tagged already.  Does that mean I’ve broken the chain and will be cursed with bad luck and dead cats?

Oh and Jedi — Here is my secret. It is very simple: one sees well only with the heart. The essential is invisible to the eyes. (Little Prince)

  • Very good Muzie! I’m so impressed as I didn’t know for sure if you would do it because you are so secretive and elusive (that’s why I picked you). So no curse on you … you satisfied the obligations of the meme. BTW, I don’t usually do these things either but it just seemed like a good one to do.

Also very good on the lesson of le renard. :-)

  • Muzie?

Well, I didn’t really ‘reveal’ anything. Unless you count my very, very slim reccollection of Latin from high school [non est lingua morte] and my struggles with independence. Everything else I’ve touched on at some point in my blogs.

But — It has caused me to find out more about these ‘memes’.
