Drive By - Part 2
Ok, let me take a quick jab at a few stories I’ve read today.
Well, let’s start with Nancy Pelosi. According to TheHill.com Nancy wants lawmakers to be able to haul their grown children at tax payer expense on trips. This is the ethics queen, remember.
Now, Ms. Nancy seems to think that when a member of Congress has to travel and their spouse is not able to go along, a grown child should be able to accompany them without reimbursing the Treasury. UMMMMM I don’t think so.
The City of Seattle may ban microwave popcorn. OK, it’s not “the city” it’s city government buildings. My sons would love to see this here! Try as I may, I never fail to burn a couple pieces.
West Virginia - Open for Business!! Dateline Boston, June 12 — Cabot Corporation announced today that it will close its carbon black manufacturing facility in Waverly, WV. Now, according to the article:
The decision to close the facility was driven by changes in the tire
manufacturing industry. Over the past 18 months, tire manufacturing has
seen a significant restructuring, with multiple tire capacity reductions in
North America and the expansion of tire manufacturing facilities in China
and other countries in the Asia Pacific and South America regions.
Mia Moran-Cooper – Well, my opinion hasn’t changed. I believe Ms. Moran-Cooper. She’s presented evidence. I haven’t heard a legitimate rebuttle of the evidence. All I see is a lottery system, and it’s big money supporters and investors, waging a smear campaign in order to shore-up a vote in favor of table games. Make her look like an angry ex-employee crying sour grapes, keep the focus off the real issue, make it about her.
Television double standard — You know, sometimes things just strike me odd. I’m sitting here writing this stuff up, watching the tube. So these commercials come on. They’re the ones aimed at men. You know, those little pills that help you out when the lights go off. Well, anyway, I want to know why these commercials all have small built women and fat men? I mean, in every one of them, they guy is at least 30 lbs over weight.
Remember that HPV vaccine that everyone was abuzz about a few months ago. You know, the one Texas mandated young girls to have. Even some of our own state representatives tried to force it down our throats. Well, check this out from Judicial Watch! Seems that there are a few side effects they didn’t tell us about!
As of May 11, 2007, the 1,637 adverse vaccination reactions reported to the FDA via the Vaccine Adverse Event Reporting System (VAERS) included 371 serious reactions. Of the 42 women who received the vaccine while pregnant, 18 experienced side effects ranging from spontaneous abortion to fetal abnormities.
Side effects published by Merck & Co. warn the public about potential pain, fever, nausea, dizziness and itching after receiving the vaccine. Indeed, 77% of the adverse reactions reported are typical side effects to vaccinations. But other more serious side effects reported include paralysis, Bells Palsy, Guillain-Barre Syndrome, and seizures.
“The FDA adverse event reports on the HPV vaccine read like a catalog of horrors,” stated Judicial Watch President Tom Fitton. “Any state or local government now beset by Merck’s lobbying campaigns to mandate this HPV vaccine for young girls ought to take a look at these adverse health reports. It looks as if an unproven vaccine with dangerous side effects is being pushed as a miracle drug.”
And people thought I was just awful because I did not support the mandated vaccination of very young girls.

Spontaneous abortions? I thought the vaccines were supposed to be given pre-putting out.

Hey — N.O.W. probably sees this as a cancer preventative and birth control.
