I hope before much more time passes there are some serious discussions held regarding the hostage taking by Ahmadinejad. Yes, I said “hostage taking” and hostage taking is exactly what it was. YOU can dumb it down and call them “detainees” but I refuse. The British Royal Navy was in the area in support of a larger war effort. Ahmandinejad sent his WARSHIPS to grab them and forced one soldier to write a letter that stressed the need for
Britain to get out of
IRAQ – just one front in the Global War on Terror.
I’ve been keeping a crooked eye on this story. From the start anyone with half a brain new what was going on. Short Insane Freak Ahmadinejad, or SIFA, needed to divert attention from something. Is it troop movements, is it nuclear weapons related, or is it both? I don’t know. I’m not in the military or a satellite reading goddess. But I guarantee he didn’t have them snatched up so he could impress the world with Iranian made suits.
I can’t be the only person who noticed that the male hostages from the British Royal Navy were dressed to the nine, but the lone female was dressed for scrubbing floors. Can’t you people see through this? Do you not understand what is at work here. These “leaders” have no respect for women. Women are equivalent to chattel.
[chat·tel Pronunciation: 'cha-t&l Function: noun Etymology: Middle English chatel property, from Anglo-French -- 1 : an item of tangible movable or immovable property except real estate and things (as buildings) connected with real property]
Leading Seaman Faye Turney, the lone female hostage, deserves the same respect as the men captured along with her. She was fully serving in the British Royal Navy at the same level as those men were, yet, SIFA doesn’t see fit to find a suit for her. She is destined to wear something that resembles what the night cleaning crew wear. And what’s with the freaking horizontal stripes! It wouldn’t have to be a Pelosi Pantsuit, it could have been a very modest skirt and jacket. But please, read some up-to-date fashion guides!
So, by now there are a couple folk out there squalling about my focusing on clothing. You see, my unknown friend, that photo, the one with the 15 hostages waving, wearing the clothes so generously given to them, is very symbolic. This is what the West has to look forward to once these people are in power world-wide.
On one hand I can’t wait. The NOW sisters will then find out what oppression REALLY is. They have no real clue what it is to be relegated to the bottom of the food chain. If they did they would be screaming that we aren’t doing enough to emancipate the women of the
Middle East.
On the other hand, I hate the thought of my children being subject to or killed by these barbarians.
Bravo to Royal Marine Air, Banks and Masterson! They refused to stoop to play a part in this sickening charade. Reminds me of the
Vietnam hostage who managed to flip the bird to his captors while they filmed him. (Oh I wish I could remember that name!)
