Mit “The Mormon” Romney and Religion in the USA

Let me get right to the elephant in the room.  Why the h*ll is it OK for the media to repeat that Mitt Romney is a Mormon and that could hurt his campaign for Presidency, but no one can comment on Barak Obama having a Muslim parent or that the Utah mall shooter Suleiman Talovic, an immigrant from Bosnia, may be a Muslim?  [ www.kutv.com/topstories/local_story_044105216.html ]

Hmmm, lets see.  Just a couple days after the horrible shooting you can’t find a peep about the possibility that the murderer has Muslim ties.  It doesn’t matter that he may be a wacko - h*ll, the so called Christians that blew up abortion clinics several years ago were wacko too - you aren’t allowed to even suggest the possible connection.

Don’t dare speak aloud that anyone who breaks the law could be connected with Islam, but by all means use the fact that an upstanding man running for President of the United States is a - gasp - Mormon!

I can’t remember the last time a Mormon wen on a murderous rampage.

And if the country insists on the separation of church and state, then the religious beliefs of any candidate can not be a factor in the campaign for or against.

Hypocrisy!

  • You’ve hit the proverbial nail on the head. This is hypocrisy at its worst.

  • It isn’t that the country insists on separation of church and state. The fact of the matter is that the Constitution demands that there shall be no religious tests for holding a federal office.

  • being a mormon and a politician begs the question, “is it possible to serve two consecutive sentences in hell?”

[Muze] Only if you believe Mormons are destined to being in hell with the politicians. My personal religion tells me not to make such judgements of people. I suspect Romney’s skeletons are non-existent compared to some other Presidential candidates of the Protestant religions.
